is drawn to the challenge of mastering techniques. She has explored disciplines such as drawing, papier-mâché, and animation, and sculpting has now become her main focus.
With each project, she begins with a clear vision of the final piece but allows the process to shape the details as she works. Her first sculpture project arose from her partner’s admiration for a particular football player. To learn the craft, she sculpted the player’s face as a study, producing 20 pieces that clearly reflect her learning curve.
Her recent work is about pets. She got inspired when her cat reached the final stage of his life. Nicole knew she needed to create something to fill the void he would leave and to honor his memory, so she crafted a life-size sculpture. Since then, she has created sculptures of other pets, capturing their character and presence.
Across all her projects, a distinct line and a characteristic use of color are signature elements of her work.
